Hand Appliqued Quilts
Peggy is a retired junior high school math teacher who was inspired at a young age by her mother to make all sorts of hand-worked projects. Since the 1970s, quilting has been her preferred hobby. For years she has made all sorts of quilts giving many of them away to friends. After retirement in 2001, Peggy decided to concentrate on making appliqued quilts, mostly done by hand, to enter into major quilt shows. Her quilts have been accepted by AQS, International Quilt Festivals and major regional shows, mostly in the Southeastern US and have won many awards including a Best of Show and Best Hand Workmanship!
Peggy has taught many quilters how to use the templar method of applique that she learned from her friend, Pat Andreatta. She also gives trunk shows at a number of quilt guilds and shops, all gratis, as a way of giving back. We are SO grateful she will be giving a trunk show here! Her quilts are perfection and she is a treasure. We can't wait for you to meet her!
